Air-Drying Wood Slabs

This collection is of our current air drying inventory of locally-salvaged wood slabs. Slabs below have either been milled recently and would need to allow longer air-drying time (see description for more info) or are ready to be loaded into the kiln. Please contact us if you need a specific slab(s) earlier than the anticipated "Ready to Kiln Dry" date. We can check the current moisture of the slab(s) upon request.
KILN DRYING OUR AIR DRYING SLABS IS FREE AND AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.

These slabs are only available for in-store pickup and purchase in our showroom. Use the filters to narrow down your search by species, length, width, and more.

Additional Lead Time: These slabs have not been vacuum kiln-dried yet. The slabs below are currently being stored in our sheds and will need to complete the kiln drying process. Depending on the size, quantity, and species, some slabs may need either one or two cycles in our kiln. Each kiln cycle is three weeks. We will contact you when the slab is loaded and unloaded in our kiln.

Drying Process: Photos, features, and dimensions of these slabs are taken while green. After the kiln drying process, some slabs (depending on species) may change slightly. These changes can include but are not limited to end checking, cracks, twist, shrinkage, etc. We aim to dry slabs under 12% moisture content throughout.

Surfaced Flat- Included in each description is the cost of surfacing each slab flat. If you wish to have a slab surfaced, it will be a 2-3 week lead time from completion of the vacuum kiln cycle. Please contact us via email if you need your slab(s) to be surfaced/planed flat or include in your order notes. We will send you a separate invoice before we begin services.

Please note that this is a small portion of the actual slab inventory that we keep in our warehouse and sheds. If you're interested in a specific size or species, please email us and we will respond with more information on availability, options, and recommendations.
